REPUBLIC Bank and Nigel’s Supermarket came on board the COURTS/Petra Pee Wee Inter-School Football Competition in time to outfit the finalists of the competition who battled for top honours on Saturday at the Thirst Park ground. Republic Bank branded the energetic Tucville side with uniforms on the day of reckoning hours before their battle against Marian Academy.
However, Marian Academy were outfitted with the uniform last week Thursday when the players were present at Nigel’s Supermarket for the presentation.
Yesterday, Managing Director of Star Party Rentals, Lennox Cush, outfitted the Redeemer team so they will be equipped for the next Courts/Petra Pee Wee Football Competition.
Cush said sport has always been a part of his life from his younger days and now he would like to take the opportunity to give back to sports.
According to Co-Director of Petra, Marlan Cole, the timely move was much appreciated and it also gives the tournament a more uniform look. Cole noted that as the tournament grows yearly that they will be able to outfit all the teams from the inception. (Kizan Brumell)
