Q.C. students now housed at Richard Ishmael Secondary : …as Rentokil deals with flea infestation at their school

FOLLOWING the recent flea infestation at Queen’s College on Camp Road in the city, the Ministry of Education has put arrangements for its students and teachers hold to classes at the Richard Ishmael Secondary School on Woolford Avenue. This is according to a press release issued by the ministry yesterday.
The press release noted that these arrangements were made in an effort to reduce the loss of school hours. Students and Teachers of Richard Ishmael Secondary will attend school from 07:30hrs – 12:15hrs, and the students and teachers of Queen’s College will then use the school from 12:30h – 16:30hrs.
These arrangements began yesterday, and according to the release, they will continue for the remainder of the week.
Also, the Ministry of Education on Monday held a meeting with parents of both Queen’s College and Richard Ishmael Secondary students at the Richard Ishmael School.
The release stated that the ministry continues to monitor the flea infestation at Queen’s College, and Rentokil was yesterday spraying the building for the third time since last week.
