Jury empanelled for Dwayne Jordon murder case before Justice Navindra Singh

A 12-member jury was empanelled yesterday before Justice Navindra Singh at the Demerara Assizes to try Dwayne Jordon for the alleged murder of Claudeene Rampersaud, committed on June 14, 2007.

Miss Renita Singh and Mrs. Konyo Thompson are prosecutors in this case. They are hoping to call eight witnesses to prove the prosecution’s case. Ms Singh will deliver her opening address to the jury this morning.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Nigel Hughes is defence counsel.
