POLICE Narcotics Branch yesterday arrested a man at the Ogle International Airport; East Coast Demerara after a quantity of cannabis sativa (marijuana) was discovered in a plucked chicken he was taking with him to Ekereku.
The incident occurred at 07:00 hrs as ranks at the airport conducted a search on the man’s baggage and unearthed a total of 864 grammes of cannabis sativa (marijuana) concealed in a quantity of plucked chicken and among other foodstuff.
The man is in police custody, and will shortly be charged.
