TROY Cadogan won the 2012 MACORP Medal Play Golf tournament in a showdown that attracted 44 local and overseas competitors at the Lusignan Golf Club on Saturday.
Cadogan shot net 66 from gross 94 playing off 28 handicap in capturing victory as players heighten their preparation for the Guyana Open next month.

David Harry was second with net 68 from gross 85 playing off 17 handicap.
Third place went to the in form Alfred Mentore who shot net 69 from gross 76 playing off 7 handicap.
Mentore also had the best gross of 76.
Christine Sukhram was the winner among the female players with net 71 from gross 82 playing off 11 handicap.
Sookram Deosarran was Nearest to the Pin while United States player Salim Rasheed, here for the Guyana Open, had the longest drive.
MACORP, came in for high praise from president of the Lusignan Golf Club Jerome Khan for the level of sponsorship.
According to Khan, players look forward to the MACORP tournament annually because the prizes are very attractive.
Jorge Medina, Managing Director of MACORP local office said his company has always been a friend of the Lusignan Golf Club.
He said apart from the annual sponsorship of the tournament MACORP also provides   equipment to assist in the maintenance of the Course.
Players and caddies were presented with shirts and caps, while the players scorecards were raffled and the lucky ones won golfing and outdoor paraphnelia.
Meanwhile, the Digicel two-day classic will take place Saturday and Sunday at the same venue starting at 12:30hrs on the opening day.
