A TWENTY-YEAR-OLD man was severely beaten by a father and son at Jibb Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, on Sunday night. Imtikhab Khan had gone to a shop in the village when he was attacked by another young man who was drinking alcohol, according to the victim’s mother, Bhagpattie known as Jeana.
She said she learnt that the first assailant slapped her son several times, then went away and returned with his father and both of them continued to assault her son, beating him in the head and back.
Bhagpattie said Imtikhab’s bicycle was also destroyed but he was  rescued by friends and is hospitalised, while police are carrying out investigations into the incident.
