Man chopped to death during drinking brawl

TERRY Warren, 24, of Karawab, upper Pomeroon River, was chopped to death Sunday night during a drinking brawl. Reports from the village, located some 60 miles from Charity, said he was in a group of men drinking alcohol when a fight which broke out developed into a brawl.
The victim suffered several chops about the head and body by one of the men who was armed with a sharp cutlass and he died on the spot.
The lifeless, bloodied corpse was removed by police and taken to Charity by boat just after midday yesterday.
Investigations are continuing and the hunt is on for the killer in the Karawab area.
