WARREN Kelly known as ‘Azod’ was refused bail on a felonious wounding charge yesterday. He appeared before Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo at the New Amsterdam court in Berbice and the police successfully objected to bail for him, stating that he went into hiding after committing the alleged indictable offence.
The 38-year-old accused, of Angoy’s Avenue or ‘Cow Dam’, is alleged to have unlawfully and maliciously wounded Arlington Aaron Layne, with intent to maim, disfigure ,disable or cause him grievous  bodily harm.
The prisoner has to be back in court on September 17, for report and fixture.
