Guyana’s tourism products on show in New York

U.S. consumers, travel trade and media were exposed to Guyana’s tourism products at the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Travel and Cultural Fair at Grand Central Station in New York, one of the highlights of the CTO’s “Caribbean Week”. Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Irfaan Ali and a team of Guyanese government and industry representatives were among the participants of the annual tourism trade show in New York that attracts hundreds of visitors. Twenty Caribbean countries showcased the range of tourism attractions, resorts and vacation experiences available in the Caribbean.
Chairman of the Guyana Tourism Authority, Mr. Ramesh Ghir, Director of Tourism Indranauth Haralsingh and Marketing Manager Carla James along with the General Manager of the Princess Hotel, Mr. Muharrem Kulekciand and Marketing Director Petal Ridley and Consultant Sandra Ann Baptiste promoted Guyana as a prime sustainable tourism destination.

Guyana highlighted that it is a distinctive and unique destination that won three Caribbean sustainable tourism awards earlier this year.
The presence of Guyanese beauty queen, Arti Cameron added to the flair and attractiveness of the Guyana’s presentation at the trade show.
Guyana also participated in the Investment and the Caribbean Diaspora Forum.
