TWO suspects are in police custody following the murder of Marlon Andrew Ramcharran, 18, of Tain Settlement, Corentyne, Berbice on Sunday. Police reported that Ramcharran, a carpenter, was murdered at about 01:45 hrs on Sunday last at Tain.
Police said its investigations so far have revealed that Ramcharran was on his way home after leaving a liquor bar when he was attacked by two men armed with cutlasses.
He was chopped about his body and subsequently taken to the Port Mourant Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police yesterday confirmed that both suspects has been arrested and are in custody assisting with the investigations.
