IT’S back to the inner circuit of the National Park for local cyclists this Saturday, when they meet to compete in the first-ever Banks DIH/PowerAde/Ulric Pollydore Memorial cycle race programme from 09:00hrs. The event is being organised by national cycling coach Hassan Mohamed who is a personal friend of the late Pollydore, himself being a former president of both the Guyana Cycling Federation and Kaieteur Cycle Club.
Eleven races are carded for the day, commencing with the BMX Boys 6 to 9 two-lap and culminating with the Schoolboys and Invitational 35-lap race.
At the end of the day’s activities, winners will receive their prizes from Banks DIH’s Outdoor Events Manager Mortimer Stewart.
