DANGEROUS driving was the result of a two-vehicle smash up last Tuesday night at Mahaica, East Coast Demerara. At approximately 21:00hrs, on the Mahaica “mud dam”, an Allion motorcar travelling south collided with a Sunny PFF 1512 heading in the opposite direction.
Apparently, both vehicles were driving with their lights off, on the dark, deserted road.
There were no eyewitnesses, and the drivers, who spoke to this publication, stated that accidents occur and they will settle the matter between themselves.
They both wish to remain anonymous, and appeared to be intoxicated.
The vehicles were badly damaged, but no one was injured.
