-in annual appliances’ promotion drive
TRADITIONALLY, at this time of the year, prominent furniture and appliance chain store Courts (Guyana) Limited launches its largest appliance promotion of the year with an interactive in- store cooking show. At the show which took place last Friday at the store’s Main Street Head Office, customers and staff were invited to observe Chef John of Bettencourt Food Establishment as he expertly put together a three-course meal and dispensed cooking tips.
The recipes which were available included ‘Cream of Eddoes Broth’ and ‘Beef Pot Pie’ as appetisers. The main entree highlighted ‘Bettencourt’s Famous Grilled Steak’, ‘Grilled Prawns’, ‘Pan Seared Chicken Strips in Honey and Cranberry Reduction Sauce’, ‘Herb Potatoes’ and ‘Sautéed Vegetables’.
Dessert was a “Celery and Cucumber Creamed Shake with White Chocolate Sauce”. This was all to be washed down with the Bettencourt Pine and Ginger Drink’.
The dishes were available for customers and staff to sample, and those were also offered stylish aprons to aid them in their own kitchen adventures.
The appliances highlighted included a number of stoves, blenders, food processors, refrigerators, microwaves, pressure cookers, rice cookers, toasters and more.
