DEN Amstel’s Andre Hector commanded his authority yesterday afternoon at the Uitvlugt Community Centre ground in the Guyana Football Federation Super League competition when his team dethroned East Coast club Victoria Kings 5-1. Kester Jacobs opened the scoring account in the 9th minute to send his club into a 1-0 lead.
Andre Hector then took over in the 22nd minute to increase the lead, and continued his tally on the score sheet.
Victoria Kings got a penalty in the 32nd minute and was converted by Sherlock Dowding to see the scoreline at 2-1 at half time.
On resumption in the second half, Rondel Hutson converted in the 60th minute to send the score to 3-1.
Anthony Cummings’ 83rd minute goal then sent the west side team 4-1 as Hector returned to ensure a job well done in the 85th minute with the score line at 5-1.
Meanwhile, national forward Gregory Richardson registered a double to help Pele maul Seawall 7-1 in the feature game.
Richardson scoring in the 41st and 66th minute propelled Pele as their support came from Travis Grant in the 48th, Konata Manning in the 71st, Stellon David 81st, Calvin Shepherd 85th and Akeney Fraser 87th minute.
