THE 62-year-old Secretary of Carnation Flower Lodge Penny Bank appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday on charges of fraudulent conversion.
Ingrid Layne, of Lot 30 Gordon Street, Kitty, Georgetown faced indictable charges, one of which said, between January 24 and December 31, 2011, being solely entrusted, by Carol Young, with the sum of $165,000 to keep for Tanya Jarvis, she fraudulently converted the sum to her own use and benefit.
The other charge said, during the same period, being solely entrusted, also by Young, with $134,000 to keep for Debra Joseph, she fraudulently converted $80,000 to her own use and benefit.
Layne was put on $100,000 bail until February 10.
