TWO inmates of the Camp Street Prison in Georgetown appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday, jointly charged with drug trafficking.
Justin Felix and Roisi Castellano pleaded not guilty to the offence, parriculars of which said, on January 7, they had 15 grammes of cannabis (marijuana), at the penitentiary, for the purpose.
Police Sergeant, Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, said the narcotic was found on the defendants.
Castellano said he is on remand pending trial for illegal firearm and ammunition possession and Felix is a remanded murder accused.
Both men will make their next court appearance on January 25.
