GRANGER issues call for establishment of tripartite budget committee, meaning consisting of three parts: A tripartite classification shared by or involving three parties, a tripartite coalition government.
Is David Granger calling for a “tripartite” budget committee which would involve Carl Greenidge the one-time food banner from Guyanese to be on the PNC’s side of this committee?
Well Guyanese can only take a wild guess that Ramjattan will be calling on Sasenarie Singh to be the third person on this “tripartite” committee since this flour man is the best thing the AFC has as financial adviser.
Guyanese can now get a clear glimpse of the PNC working hand in hand foot to foot with the AFC on financial matters.
The treasury and finance are all the PNC and AFC are very much interested in.
President Ramotar must bring to the floor security reforms as soon as possible, when all Guyanese will get their chance to see the PNC in action, or will the PNC walk out of Parliament, since the PNC had never worked with the Jagdeo administration on any security reforms.
Guyanese already know the AFC’s stance on security reforms, to bring in the ‘Brits’, give the ‘Brits’ full access to carry out live rounds ammunition training with little or no regard for environmental issues concerning mercury contamination and its effects on animals, plants and soil.
President Ramotar must then bring to the floor corruption reforms. Let’s see if the AFC will walk out of Parliament since they had never worked with the previous government on corruption reforms.
The PNC’s main campaign was security reforms, while the AFC’s main campaign was corruption.
Both the PNC and AFC will now have their chance to put up or shut up.
Most Guyanese already know the PNC and AFC will never utter the words no confidence in parliament.
A no confidence will spell doom days for both the PNC and AFC since they are smart enough to know Guyanese gave them a chance to work with Government on these very issues they both campaigned on.
