Government will have its work cut out

AS elections day draws closer, most Guyanese are witnessing how former Police Commissioner Winston Felix and former GDF Brigadier Edward Collins joined up with APNU as it relates to politics. Most Guyanese have to be wondering if those who joined the PNC in forming APNU ever bargained for this.
The most frightening of all with this revelation is that these two men left close friends and associates, or possibly family members, behind in those two institutions where vital security information can be passed on from inside to these two men.
If Guyanese think this is frightening for this coming election November 28, 2011, then wait until next election in five years’ time, when it would be even more frightening.
I hope the Government of Guyana takes this very seriously in asking the international community to keep close tabs on this revelation.
Most Guyanese saw what took place in the Buxton operation of another GDF leader, Captain David Clarke, who is an even worse criminal than known drug pusher Roger Khan.
I often warned that those who took the oath and swore to uphold the laws in protecting citizens are the worst criminals and should be severely punished.
Government will have its work cut out in keeping very close tabs on these two, and others that they left behind in the joint forces, knowing these two men are now linked with the opposition.
