GCB congratulates Windies and Bishoo

FOLLOWING his maiden five-wicket haul in the second Test match against Bangladesh, West Indies right-arm leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo received a congratulatory message from the Guyana Cricket Board yesterday.
Bishoo’s exploits with the ball in the Bangladeshi’s second innings, saw him take 5 for 90 from 25 overs of leg-spin, which enabled the West Indies to come away with a 229-run victory and a one-nil series victory after rain washed out the last four days of the first Test.
Here is an excerpt of the message:
The Guyana Cricket Board congratulates the West Indies team on winning both the one-day and Test series against a constantly improving Bangladesh squad. Your win at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh, against the Bangladeshis should be seen as a rebirth of our international domination of the gentleman’s game.
Our players are commended for their team effort throughout the series and Darren Bravo, Kirk Edwards, Fidel Edwards and our very own Devendra Bishoo and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, continue to make all West Indians proud.
Special congratulations to Bishoo for attaining his first five-wicket haul in Test cricket, while we also salute the management team that continues to deliver as promised – improved performances. You have all proved that West Indies cricket can once again rise to the top of their game and regain that coveted prize of world champion.
We wish you all continued success in India and beyond.
