A THIRTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD miner, from Queenstown, Essequibo Coast, has been reported missing after his relatives said they have not heard from him for some four months. His sister, Shalini Ram said her brother, Sunil Ram called ‘Son’ left for the interior, since then, with a group of men from Queenstown, to mine for gold in the interior.
The worried woman said all the other men returned home about four weeks ago and told relatives that Ram remained in the interior to work on a dredge and will be coming home for his birthday, in September, but he never turned up.
According to Shalini, her sibling has never called home during the past four months and the family is praying that he is alive and will come home soon.
