PLEASE allow me to reply to the blatant lie that was published in the October 6, 2011 edition of the Kaiteur News under the heading, ‘PPP running scared, losing stronghold supporters – AFC’.
I wish to make it crystal clear that ‘I’, Neil Kumar, never spoke at any public meeting, or on the same platform as Mr. Seeraj.  Hence, Gerhard Ramsaroop, who is an executive member of the AFC, is a total stranger to the truth; he is a liar.
I wish to set the record straight.  Gerhard Ramsaroop is the son of the late Comrade Boyo Ramsaroop. Mr. Boyo Ramsaroop was a dedicated, long-standing member of the PPP.  A few months before he unfortunately passed away, he spoke at great length about the medical attention he received at the Georgetown Public Hospital.  He indeed showered heavy praise on the eminent doctors and highly professional nurses.  Further, he said that the hospital was very clean, and he expressed his appreciation for the medical attention he had received.  Boyo Ramsaroop told me personally that “the PPP/C Government is the best thing that ever happened to Guyana” and that he was urging his son, Gerhard, to join the party.
Mr. Editor, Gerhard Ramsaroop, Seeraj and I grew up in the PPP; we knew each other  personally for more than 25 years.  Hence, it is unacceptable for Gerhard Ramsaroop to mistake Seeraj or me.  Further, I spoke at the meeting, and when I went on stage, I was greeted with loud applause, and a pretty woman garlanded, hugged and kissed me.
After speaking, the old folk came and shook my hands and said, “Good talk.” Some of the girls and others shook my hand and said, “We want Comrade Donald to come here!”
When my colleague, Barrister-at-Law and Central Committee Member of the PPP went to the rostrum, he was greeted with thunderous applause, and he, too, was garlanded.  He spoke for about 45 minutes, and his speech was punctuated by several rounds of applause.
I wish to let the public know that Gerhard Ramsaroop is a liar, and I challenge him to prove that Seeraj and Neil Kumar spoke at Enterprise or any other public meeting.
I hope the Elections Commission takes note of this vicious and mischievous ‘AFC Liar’.
