PEOPLE’S National Congress Reform (PNCR) leading member and Councillor of the Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) Regional Democratic Council (RDC), Ms. Marva Bowen died yesterday morning at Suddie Public Hospital, after a long period of illness. Bowen, who has been a long standing and dedicated member of the PNC for many years served as a member of the RDC Council on the Opposition benches for the past 18 years under the Chairmanship of Mr. Ali Baksh.
She is also known to be a political activist of the PNC and during that party’s Government, worked at the Anna Regina Supplies Centre as a supervisor.
Bowen was also a Regional Supervisor of the PNC party in Region Two.
She attended a Developers Course at the Management Training Centre, Timehri and was a member of a Government of Guyana delegation that visited South Korea.
Bowen is survived by one daughter, Ms. Chinelle Bowen and many relatives. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bowen, of Bush Lot, Essequibo Coast.
