SHAWN Johnson (no address given) was yesterday placed on $75,000 bail on a robbery charge after he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry. Particulars of the offence stated that on September 24, he robbed Taradawn Conway of one gold chain valued $70,000.
Attorney-at-law Ms. Deborah Backer represented the defendant and requested reasonable bail. She said her client is not a flight risk and he will attend court for trial.
The application was granted and the defendant is expected to return to court on October 18.
