I agree with the Kaieteur News publisher Glenn Lall when he was quoted by the Stabroek News in its Tuesday September 6 edition as saying that the allegations levelled against him in one of the now released U.S Embassy diplomatic cables are just rumours.
What is contradictory however is that the very newspaper owned by Lall is selectively reporting on aspects of the cables critical of the President and his government and doing so as though it’s ‘the gospel truth’.
Lall on the one hand is asking readers to dismiss allegations of having links to the criminal underworld and taking part in the illegal act of ‘backtracking’ against him as ‘rumours’  whilst accepting as facts the other allegations being reported on by his newspaper against other persons as the truth.  
If this isn’t deception and self-centredness then I don’t know what else is.
