Duo on armed robbery charge granted $80,000 bail

TWO men, charged with robbery under arms before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, were each granted $80,000 bail yesterday.
Quincy Mc Quinn, 30, of Lot 62 Norton Street, Lodge and 22-year-old Gavin Best (no address given) pleaded not guilty to the joint charge.

It is alleged that on August 29, being armed with an ice pick, they robbed Kevin Rover of one Blackberry cell phone valued $93,000 and $30,000 cash.
Mc Quinn informed the Court that he is an employee of Guyana Sex Workers Coalition.
The case was transferred to another Court for October 24.
