KUMAR Chitaman was ordered to post a total of $40,000 bail yesterday, on two charges of unlawful assault.
The defendant (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell, charged with unlawfully assaulting Susie Husain and Natasha Rahaman on September 2.
Chitaman claimed that the women were at his business place when beer, accidentally, fell on them as he was climbing his fence and slipped.
He said the virtual complainants became annoyed and an argument ensued, during which Husain kicked his bike and damaged it and she slapped him.
The cases will be called, again, on November 1.
