EDWARD Skeete called ‘Pretty Boy’, 25, the accused in the April 27 shooting murder, was further remanded to prison yesterday. He made his appearance before Magistrate Julie Latchmansingh at Sparendaam Court, where he first appeared on May 3, charged with the unlawful killing of businessman Bedi Ramjiewan, of Crown Dam, Industry, also on East Coast Demertara.
The magistrate announced that the preliminary inquiry (PI) into the charge will commence on November 24.
Ramjiewan was shot and killed after he was trailed by two men, on a motorcycle from a city bank, one of whom beat him on the head while another shot him in the chest before escaping with a bag of money.
