TWO persons, Dennis Peters and Joan Munroe (no addresses given) were both remanded to prison, by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday, on drug trafficking charges. The charge against Peters, to which he pleaded not guilty, said, on August 11, he had 474 grammes of cannabis (marijuana) in his possession for the purpose.
Particulars of the allegation against Munroe said, on August 10, she had two kilogrammes 973 grammes, of the same prohibited substance, to traffick.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, successfully objected to bail for either of the defendants, submitting that neither advanced any special reasons for the grant.
The defendants are to be back in court on October 24.
