HAITIAN President Michel Martelly, whose attendance at the 32nd Heads of Government conference was his first, addressed his colleagues in his native French in an attempt to get the language accepted as one of the official languages of the regional integration movement.
Here, he is warmly applauded by his colleagues as he makes his way to the podium to deliver his inaugural presentation. President Martelly, who regrettably left for home Friday before the group’s deliberations on Haiti, said he was confident that a proposal put to the Heads would bear fruit as it relates to the future socio-economic development of his country.
