Why was such a piece carried by Stabroek News?

I AM not sure when, but sometime ago it appears as though Stabroek News has decided to launch an all-out attack on the government, perhaps as revenge for the rationing of its advertisements.
However, sometimes the newspaper’s attack is subtle. For instance, its Sunday May 29 edition carried an article regarding the location where the Caribbean Heads retreat was being held.

Firstly, I fail to understand why a piece like that was ever published or why it was thought to be food for thought. The newspaper questioned why the meeting was being held at Tiwari’s house. By this, the paper means the property owned by Brian Tiwari in the Mazaruni which is a resort-type facility.
The Stabroek News tries to use every opportunity to paint a sinister picture and in this case, an issue as simple as this was used to raise questions.
What was also notable is the fact that when the newspaper decides to question government’s doing, it always finds, rather conveniently, members of the Alliance For Change  (AFC) for comments. In this instance, Khemraj Ramjattan commented, which was positive since he agreed that nothing is wrong with the venue of a business person being chosen. For me, however, all this shows that the Stabroek News is up to its usual gimmick.
If a businessman offers his property for such an event, why is it wrong? It’s done in other countries and here it will serve to highlight another part of the country rather than the capital city. Guyana doesn’t only consist of its coastland and therefore, whenever government gets an opportunity to highlight the vastness of Guyana, I believe, it has every right to do so.
