MAGISTRATE Krishendat Persaud imposed a three-year prison sentence on cane harvester Rahim Alli Mohammed yesterday, for trafficking four grammes of cocaine.

Police Inspector Satrohan Dayaram, prosecuting, said, on June 11, at 22:25 hrs, ranks on mobile patrol in the vicinity of Skeldon Post office, also at Corentyne, Berbice, saw Mohammed acting suspiciously and stopped him.
A search of his person yielded a Pall Mall cigarette box containing three cigarettes and the cocaine, the Prosecutor said.
