GUYANA needs more packaging facilities in the agricultural areas which we are attempting to develop. Minister Robert Persaud should consider approaching the Chairman of Surendra Engineering Corporation, Mr. Surendra Parikh to invest or form a joint venture to supply more such facilities. It seems to me that one or more companies that we do business with, could be encouraged to expand or increase this business by becoming partners in potentially profitable ventures.  The GoG needs to give more financing and support to some of the most promising pilot ventures they talk about. It takes more than seeds to get a product to market. Government must ensure that all steps from production to market are well planned and executed or a pilot will remain a pilot or take too long to succeed.  No more GoG got them the contract. It’s up to them to deliver with no GoG follow through.
