THE preliminary inquiry (PI) in the Rudolph Moonsammy murder case continued yesterday before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at Vreed-en-Hoop Court, West Coast Demerara. Police Sergeant Sherwin Matthews, prosecuting, called two witnesses, Nandraram Singh, a neighbour and Roy Madramootoo, son of the deceased.
They are to return on April 19, for cross-examination by defence counsel Peter Hugh.
Patrick Anthony Balgobin made his first court appearance on June 11, 2010, charged with murdering Moonsammy on June 7, 2010, at Lot 3 St. Lawrence, East Bank Essequibo.
The accused had been employed by Moonsammy, who was beaten and chopped at his St. Lawrence poultry farm.
