Len’s Craft Optical/Sunburst Orange Juice Under-15 League delayed again

… to now  kick off on March 26
PERSISTENT overnight and early morning rains on Saturday further delayed the start of the inaugural Len’s Craft Optical/Sunburst Orange Juice Under-15 League which was scheduled to kick off   at the Georgetown Football Club Ground.
This is the second Saturday that rain has put off the start of what is expected to be an intense and exciting competition that will involve 10-city clubs.

A number of eager and hungry players turned up at the venue but all they could have done was, watch a waterlogged GFC Ground as the rain belted down relentlessly.
Organiser Franklin Wilson has disclosed that providing the weather allows play, the competition will kick off on Saturday March 26 at the same venue with Sunburst Camptown taking on Georgetown Football Club from 08:00hrs.
BK Int. Western Tigers will come up against Houston Stars from 09:15hrs; Flamingo challenge Santos from 10:30hrs with Fruta Conquerors matching skills with Renaissance in the final encounter of the day.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi finals. Three (3) points will be awarded for a win, one (1) for a draw and none (0) for a loss.
Only players born on or after January 1st 1996 are eligible to play in this tournament which will see the winning team lifting the champions’ trophy and gold medals; the losing finalist will also receive a trophy and silver medals while the winner of the third place game featuring the losing semi finalists will receive bronze medals and a trophy.
Fourth place will also attract a trophy while there will be individual prizes for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament, player to score the most goals and the best goal keeper.
