Let’s support the development taking place

AS Guyanese we know this is a significant month, when the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) will plan various programmes and activities to commemorate the life and works of the late iconic son of the soil, Dr Cheddi Jagan The iconic and visionary leader fought against the colonial ship of the British, opposition forces and all oppressors for independent freedom and democracy for the working class people to enjoy a comfortable livelihood in this beautiful land of Guyana.
Today we can say he is gone, but there is a lot to talk about; we can continue to see his vision being carried out vividly by the leadership of the PPP/C government, to execute the plan of development in every sector to better the social, cultural, economical welfare of the Guyanese people and the country.
Anyone with a pure and honest heart will attest to the fact that ever since this government came to power, from 1992 to the present, this country of ours has moved from a damaging era to a prosperous one, because the People’s PPP/C believes in togetherness, unity and oneness. I therefore advocate that the Guyanese people, especially my friends, look back carefully at history where we were and where we are today.
There are those who would want to influence us otherwise, but be careful and look out as well; because they are like vultures, they have no plan and vision for Guyana, only talk.
Hence, let us continue to support the developments that are taking place rapidly to better our life and country, and the vision of the late Dr Cheddi B. Jagan can be achieved through the continuous support and commitment of all Guyanese.
I wish the People’s Progressive Party/Civic excellent success as they continue to pursue diligently the execution of their mandate. I would warn my young friends once again, don’t let development slip away from us.
Long live the People’s Progressive Party/Civic.
