BURGLARS broke into a grocery and hardware store, at Devonshire Castle on Essequibo Coast and stole several tins of spray paint on Tuesday night. Owner of the business, Mrs. Indrawattie Persaud said she and her husband were asleep upstairs in the two-storey building when the burglary took place and she made the discovery Wednesday morning.
The padlock on the shop door was breached and spray paint stolen.
Persaud said a bag, containing her identification card, National Insurance Survival Benefit coupons and paddy payment vouchers, was also missing.
She said her shop was broken into last year February and all the groceries in it carted off.
Police visited the scene and are investigating the latest break-in. (Prabulall)
