Fined marijuana convict must do community service

WESLEY Morison (no address given) was yesterday fined $3,000 and ordered to do six months community service on conviction for possession of a narcotic. He appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, and pleaded guilty to having one gramme of cannabis (marijuana) on February 7.
The convict told the court he uses the prohibited substance for health reasons.
