THE Bernice Mansell Foundation donated a quantity of books and stationery to the Hope Secondary School, yesterday. On behalf of his school, student Roopnarine Singh, uplifted the items which consisted of 50 text books and a quantity of pen, pencils and erasers.
The foundation which is a non-partisan, non-profit, non-governmental organization was established in 1999 and holds as its mission the relief by material or other means,
suffering and distress among the poor and needy of all races of any political or religious belief, to provide support for the educational uplift of underprivileged children, and
to establish and maintain training in the field of education for early school leavers in literacy, numeracy and computer skills. (Muna Nur)
