ANOTHER witness gave evidence yesterday when the preliminary inquiry (PI) into the charge against Neesa Gopaul murder accused resumed.
The victim’s mother, Bibi Shareema Gopaul and her stepfather, Jarvis Small, are charged with unlawfully killing her.
Bharrat Samaroo, a welder/fabricator was the seventh witness to testify in the pre-trial proceedings being conducted by Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
Samaroo was also cross-examined by Senior Counsel Bernard De Santos, for the defence, before the PI was adjourned to January 25.
The body of the deceased was found stuffed in a suitcase at Madewini, in the vicinity of Emerald Tower Resort, along the Soesdyke/Linden Highway and the case for the Prosecution is that the former Queen’s College (QC) student was murdered between September 24 and October 2, 2010.
