CIOG congratulates Ambassador Ishmael on new appointment

THE Central Islamic Organization of Guyana has extended  “sincerest congratulations” to His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ali Odeen Ishmael, CCH on his appointment as Resident Ambassador to Kuwait.
“Mr. Ishmael has represented the interest of Guyana on many forums, and has made a valuable contribution to Guyana’s relationship with Venezuela as our Ambassador,” CIOG said in a statement.

CIOG said Ambassador Ishmael’s services at the OAS conferences, Guyana’s Chief Negotiator at the Summit of Americas, Summit of Sustainable Development in Chile and Bolivia, Caricom Representative of the Summit Implementation Review Group and leading negotiator in the establishment of the Inter-American Democratic Charter and his continued service in Guyana’s foreign services, bodes well for every success as our Ambassador in Kuwait.
The CIOG also congratulated President Bharrat Jagdeo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Carolyn Rogrigues-Birkett, and the Government of Guyana for their “consideration and excellent choice in Mr. Odeen Ishmael to represent Guyana at this important juncture in our Middle East relationships”.
“We take this opportunity of wishing Mr. Ishmael the very best in his new appointment, with the knowledge that his vast experience will undoubtedly enhance the ties that exist between Guyana and Kuwait, and redound to the benefit of our Nation,” CIOG stated.
