Poetic justice

I NEED some serious help. I happened to cheat on my boyfriend of two years, and he found out by going through my phone. He asked me all the details, which I tried to hide at first. I’m trying to figure out what really made me do it. He is beyond heartbroken, and I’m hurting as badly, because of the pain I caused the man that I love. He now wants to break up, and the idea has not been easy on me. Why is he not willing to work things out with me?

Jan,
The poet, Yevgeny Yevtushenko once remarked, “Justice is like a train that is nearly always late.” We understand the quote, but sometimes the train of justice arrives on time. You are now suffering the repercussions of your actions, which is perfect.
Why is your boyfriend not willing to work this out? Because he knows what we know: You don’t love him; you would never have done this to him if you did.
What do we treat recklessly and with disregard? The things we don’t care about.
