I would like to express my sincere condolences to Mrs. Marva Murray and to the children, relatives and friends of Mr. Winston Murray who died on Monday 22nd November.
Mr. Murray had a long and distinguished career as a public servant, cabinet minister, Member of the National Assembly and attorney-at-law. I have personally worked with Mr. Murray on international relations affecting the Guyana Defence Force in the 1980s and I have always been able to rely on his friendly advice and assistance.
The National Assembly and the People’s National Congress Reform have lost a valuable thinker and articulate debater and the nation has lost a citizen of distinction in Mr. Murray’s death.
I am sorrowed by his untimely passing.
Murray had a long and distinguished career
