THE Guyana Justices of the Peace and Commissioners of Oaths to Affidavits Association extends its sympathy and condolences to the families that lost their loves ones in the recent Corentyne Road accident. It is with great sadness that the entire Guyana is feeling their pain and loss. This accident like others did not have to happen. We therefore call on all road users to exercise better judgement, care and consideration in going about their business.
The speeding lawless use of our roads and driving under the influence of alcohol continues. Too many accident matters are settled by agreements to compensate and they do not reach the courts. More often the relevant Insurance Companies are not notified. If drivers are aware that court proceedings will eventually cause a suspension of their Driver’s Licence they will be more careful.
Once again our heart goes out to those families in their time of grief.
