-Ross gets 10 wicket haul
EVEREST Cricket Club’s Ryan Ramdass and Joseph Perry and Police Sports Club’s (PSC) Rawle Browne  slam centuries for their respective teams on the final day of the Georgetown Cricket Association’s (GCA) Carib Beer Heroes Cup first division match yesterday. Transport Sports Club’s (TSC) Kevin Ross continued to mesmerize the Police Sports Club’s (PSC) batting line up on his way to 8-109 (match figures of 14-158), as PSC declared their second innings close at 247-9, thanks to Browne’s 140.
At the GCC ground, ECC resumed on their overnight score of 42 without loss in reply to GCC’s mammoth 393-3 declared, with Perry on 31 and Ramdass 11 and went on to make 316-4, of which Ramdass top scored with 147 that was decorated with 17 fours, while Perry was unbeaten on 113 (7×4).
The two added 252 for the first wicket from 86 overs, before Ramdass was lbw to Leon Johnson who ended with 2-52 from 24 overs of control leg spin and received support from Raj Nanan who took 2-84 from his 42 overs.
At the PSC ground, the home team commenced their second innings at the start of play with a five runs lead and stretched same to 252 before declaring their second innings close, with Shameer Fazal and Pernell London offering valuable support to Browne with 25 and 18 respectively.
Needing to score 253 for a come from behind victory, TSC were shakily placed on 141-7 when the game was called off with approximately 15 minutes left on the clock, of which Marc Nicholson top scored with 47 against the bowling of Vishal Jaigobin and Jason Heyliger who took 4-38 and 3-36 respectively.
Both matches ended in a draw, with PSC snatching first innings points from TSC.
