Government looking at additional Good Hope Stelling costs

– PM Hinds
PRIME Minister Samuel Hinds, last Saturday, took a high level team to inspect the troubled Good Hope ferry stelling on the Essequibo Coast.
Speaking to Chairman of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Alli Baksh, at the site, Mr. Hinds said
Government is looking at the additional cost to rectify some defects on the structure where additional work has to be done before it can be put into operation.
The discussions between the two also covered loading on the wharf where vehicles will have to continue to drive on and off  on several planks until the roll on roll off facilities are put in place.
The Prime Minister suggested that some alterations be done to the ramp to accommodate 20-ton trucks.
However, Parliamentarian, Mr. Farouk Khan said the facility is a show piece in Region Two and Essequibians want it to function effectively without any longer delay.
