Expeditious response to furniture problem at Region 6 schools

I must express thanks to the Department of Education in New Amsterdam in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, on behalf of the children and teachers of schools that were affected by a shortage of furniture especially in the New Amsterdam.
I am pleased to report, that on Thursday last, Regional Education Officer of Region Six, Mrs. Shafiran Bhajan visited schools, including Vryman’s Erven Secondary, and took photographs of the students’ seating accommodation in the classrooms.
No later than ten minutes or so after Mrs. Bhajan left the school, sets of furniture began to arrive at the school. In total, sixty pairs of furniture (desks with benches) arrived at the said school during the course of the day.
While we are extremely grateful for the effort by the officials, it must be noted that we still need a few more pairs of furniture, and some stools for the library.
Notwithstanding this, the situation at my school is ten times better. This is the cooperation and response we appreciate from our superiors at the Ministry of Education.
It is my hope that the situation has also been cushioned at the other schools.
