FOLLOWING the hosting of the CONCACAF/ Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-20 World Cup qualifier at the Guyana National Stadium, the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) organized Super League and Women Inter-association tournaments have taken a break. The action in both competitions will resume next Saturday with two games, wherein Bartica’s Liquid Gold will host Seawall United at the Bartica ground from 20:00h while Bartica ad Linden will clash in a female encounter in the first match which kicks off at 18:00h.
Seawall is now in ninth position ahead of Liquid Gold who is now occupying the cellar position, and a win for either team will enable them to climb into the seventh position, surpassing both Buxton United and Top XX.
Two games will be played the following day with Rosignol United taking on Sunburst Camptown at the Blairmont Community Centre ground, while at the Enmore ground, Buxton United and Bakewell Topp XX will clash, with both matches commencing at 16:00 h.
Meanwhile, Alpha ‘The Hammer’ United still sits comfortably at the top of the points table with 30 points, five ahead of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) and Milerock respectively.
Sunburst Camptown is in fourth position on 23 points, followed by Rosignol United (20), Victoria Kings (18), Buxton United and Bakewell Topp XX 12 each, Sewall United 11 and Liquid Gold 10.
