(Nation News) PRIME MINISTER DAVID THOMPSON is back in Barbados.
The SUNDAY SUN has learned that the ailing Prime Minister flew into the island on Friday night and is resting at his St Philip residence with his family. It remained unclear when the Prime Minister, who is battling pancreatic cancer, would resume official duties.
In an interview with this newspaper on Friday, Thompson said he was “feeling better”.
He was then speaking from his room at the Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, where he has been receiving treatment.
“I intend to return to Barbados soon even if it means I have to return to New York,” he said in the telephone interview on Friday.
