Two more drug defendants granted bail

TWO more drug defendants, who appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday, were granted bail.
One of them, Michael Jordan, 38, of Lot 217 Cross Street, Werk-en-Rust, pleaded not guilty to being in possession of four grammes cannabis (marijuana) on September 4.

Attorney-at-law Ms. Tanya Warren, who represented him, said he was in an apartment building when Police conducted a raid and found the substance but not in his possession.
Police Inspector Steven Telford, prosecuting, did not object to the grant and Jordan was ordered to post $25,000 surety until October 21.
The other narcotic defendant to secure his pre-trial liberty, for $20,000, was Troy Jacobs, who is charged with having half a gramme of marijuana.
Jacobs, 36, of Lot 2120 Festival City, also in Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the September 4 offence and will have to be back in Court on October 18.
