A PRIVATE Sector company, is developing Madewini Villas Retirement Resort, a four phase venture at Splashmin’s, along the Soesdyke/Linden Highway.
General Manager of the new enterprise, Ms. Kamini Dass told the Guyana Chronicle it will be a gated community but nearby residents will have access to all the facilities at no cost.
She said Madewini Villas offers exclusive living and targets persons who are of retirement age.
“We have 13 house plans. Those interested can select one and we will build at costs from $15M upwards,” Dass informed.
She said on site amenities include a scheduled shuttle to Georgetown, boating, fishing, maid service and meals plan, among others.
“We are hoping to have a small health centre and a shopping centre where our residents can access groceries and things like that,” she said.
Dass assured that steps will be taken to ensure that activities at the resort will not affect the lives of the residents of Madewini Villas.
She emphasised the concept of exclusivity and its guidelines are included in the agreement of sale, which are make to make sure that Madewini Villas is an idyllic environment.
Two residents are already in the first phase and more response is anticipated, especially after the promotion at GuyExpo, from September 23 at Sophia Exhibition Centre.
